Proflax founder Samantha Swift has a passion for holistic pet health, which was born many years ago through trying to find help for her boxer Lola, who had started to bite at her paws and constantly scratch at her skin.
Firmly believing in an holistic approach to health, Samantha sought to balance the 5 core elements of Physical (nutrition), Emotional, Social, Spiritual & Intellectual.
Evaluating Lola's diet, walking routes, interaction with other dogs and her mental stimulation, Samatha was able to identify a number of triggers (in Lola's case, grass walks or certain foods caused both physical and emotional issues)
Whilst Lola was on a natural diet, it was lacking in some key nutrients such as proteins and essential fatty acids - after a search to find a food that would support all the requirements, Samantha found it difficult to make a truly informed choice. Additionally she wanted to find a food or supplement that would not only assist nutritionally but also work holistically, and help promote balanced wellbeing too.
Recognising that every dog is unique and will require different levels of physical and emotional support throughout their lives (due to breed type, lifestyle, age and history) a supplement to work at these key stages led to the birth of Proflax Natural!
